Workinghard.app extension support

Version 1.3.1 · Social and messaging workspaces, plus YouTube/Twitch meeting views.

Start reading

Open a supported Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or Threads page, load its content, then click the pinned Workinghard.app icon and choose a layout. Use Change app for Sheets, Docs, Slack, Gmail, Outlook or VS Code. On YouTube or Twitch, choose Google Meet or Microsoft Teams; switching keeps the original player and playback. Messenger, WhatsApp and Twitch request access when first enabled.

Reading and returning to your feed

The address row shows the source URL and whether you are on a feed or post. Open post uses a closable reading dialog. All loaded photos appear together. Comment / reply uses the native editor; if it opens a discussion page, Back to feed restores your selection, filter and scroll. Restore unsent draft is an explicit memory-only recovery action. Loading posts and Loading comments are distinct; Stop loading cancels the wait and a timeout allows retry.

Messaging

On Messenger or WhatsApp Web, choose Sheets or Docs. Use the conversation navigator, search loaded messages and load earlier history. Compose exposes the original service editor. Native drafts survive closing the editor, switching layouts and Restore. Sending requires your explicit original Send or Enter. Read-only or ambiguous conversations disable Compose. Messages and drafts are never stored in extension storage.

VS Code

Explorer and file tabs switch Feed, Comments and the local planning source. Your planning edits are stored locally; the code is never run. Search finds loaded entries. Toggle Explorer recovers the sidebar on narrow screens.

Move, resize and float a video

Drag Move or the participant name at the bottom of the video tile. Resize its lower-right corner; the surrounding layout adjusts. YouTube Browse searches videos with thumbnails. Twitch Browse filters loaded channels; Search Twitch opens native search in another tab. Twitch Chat is read-only. Live streams without native DVR show LIVE; seeking/captions depend on native support. Comment reads real comments and replies; Description shows video details. Float meeting opens desktop Chrome's picture-in-picture window. Its More options menu provides the same browsing controls. Automatic floating depends on Chrome's site permission and recent audible playback.

Recovery controls

H hides/shows controls; Controls H stays in the header. Escape/F2 opens local cover content and pauses media. Restore returns the original website. Ctrl + Shift + Y toggles the current site (Command on Mac). H is ignored while editing text.

Missing content or an unavailable control

The extension presents content and controls already available to the native website. Restore the site to sign in, load additional content or use unsupported controls. Account/login pages and blocked source pages stay native. Restore messaging to use unsupported service controls. Website changes and localization can affect compatibility. Disable older overlapping Workinghard.app installations before loading a new unpacked version.

Use the developer contact on the Chrome Web Store listing. Include the extension and Chrome versions, supported site, chosen view and steps to reproduce. Please omit passwords, cookies, private messages and other account credentials.
